Kalmar Leadership Team Undergoes Changes; New CFO Appointed
Kalmar Corporation has announced changes to its leadership team, appointing Katri Hokkanen as the new Chief Financial Officer and confirming the departure of Services President Thomas Malmborg.
Helsinki – Kalmar Corporation announced changes to its Leadership Team (KLT) aimed at enhancing the company's long-term strategic growth and performance. Katri Hokkanen has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Leadership Team, effective no later than October 1, 2026.
Hokkanen joins Kalmar from Valmet, where she most recently held the position of CFO. She succeeds Sakari Ahdekivi, the current CFO, who will remain with Kalmar until December 31, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition. Ahdekivi will continue in his current CFO role and as a KLT member until September 30, 2026.
In addition, Thomas Malmborg will step down from his roles as President of Services and member of the KLT as of September 30, 2026, after more than 36 years of service. Malmborg will also stay with the company until the end of the year to facilitate the transition. Kalmar is currently seeking a successor for the President of Services position.
President and CEO Sami Niiranen thanked Malmborg and Ahdekivi for their contributions. He expressed confidence in the leadership team to drive future growth and strategic initiatives, emphasizing the company's focus on sustainable innovations and service expansion.
