Kalmar Partners with Kempower and SINEXCEL for Electric Charging Solutions
Kalmar is expanding its electric material handling solutions by partnering with Kempower and SINEXCEL to develop and offer new DC charging systems.

Kalmar has announced new partnerships with charging solution providers Kempower and SINEXCEL to enhance its range of electric material handling equipment. The collaboration aims to deliver a comprehensive suite of DC charging solutions designed to complement Kalmar's existing electric machine portfolio.
By leveraging Kempower's and SINEXCEL's expertise in DC chargers, Kalmar intends to ensure seamless compatibility between charging infrastructure and its electric machines. The expanded offering will include mobile chargers, integrated station chargers, and distributed charging systems. Notably, a megawatt charging system will be implemented at DP World London Gateway to support Kalmar's fleet of electric straddle carriers, scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026.
Kalmar will work with customers to provide tailored charging solutions for their specific operational needs. These solutions will range from versatile mobile chargers and all-in-one fixed installations for smaller electric fleets to distributed satellite charging solutions for large and rapidly expanding fleets. The charging solutions will be available globally.
"By combining the new charger offering with our deep understanding of our customers’ operations, we will be able to offer a comprehensive package of fully tailored electric material handling solutions – including machines, chargers and services – with the lowest possible total cost of ownership," said Rony Thomas, Head of Product Management at Kalmar.
This initiative aligns with Kalmar's commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the material handling and logistics sectors, facilitating the industry's shift towards electrification and reduced emissions.
