Kalmar to Supply 12 Hybrid Straddle Carriers to Philippines
Kalmar and ICTSI are continuing their collaboration with an order for 12 hybrid straddle carriers for the new South Luzon Container Terminal in the Philippines. Deliveries are scheduled for completion in Q3 2027.

Logistics company Kalmar has finalized an agreement with International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) to supply 12 hybrid straddle carriers. These machines will be deployed at the South Luzon Container Terminal (SLCT), located in Bauan International Port in Batangas, Philippines.
The order, which also includes MyKalmar INSIGHT fleet management coverage for all machines, is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027. SLCT is situated approximately 110 kilometers south of Manila and is intended to support industrial and manufacturing activities in the region.
ICTSI is one of the largest container terminal operators in the Philippines. The new SLCT terminal will feature an 800-meter quay, 38 hectares of yard space, and an annual capacity of 1.6 million TEU once operational.
Kalmar will also provide a straddle carrier simulator for operator training. The two companies have a long-standing relationship and have collaborated at numerous terminals worldwide.
