Kalmar to supply training simulator to SSAB in Sweden
Material handling company Kalmar has agreed to supply a customized training simulator for heavy material handling to SSAB Special Steels in Oxelösund, Sweden. The delivery is scheduled for the end of 2026.
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has secured its first order for a customized heavy material handling training simulator from SSAB Special Steels in Oxelösund, Sweden. The deal was booked in the second quarter of 2026, with delivery planned for the fourth quarter of the year.
SSAB currently operates approximately 50 Kalmar machines and has 100 machines covered under a Kalmar Complete Care service contract. The new simulator will be used to train operators in the safe and efficient handling of containers, plates, and Kalmar's Super Gloria reachstackers.
The customer's decision to select Kalmar was influenced by a long-standing relationship and the company's ability to provide a tailored solution meeting the specific needs of SSAB's extensive fleet.
