Kanadevia Corporation partners with Oman Engineering for green hydrogen projects
Japanese firm Kanadevia Corporation announced on July 14, 2026, a partnership agreement with Oman's Bahwan Engineering Company LLC (BEC). The collaboration will focus on developing green hydrogen and e-methane projects within Oman.

Kanadevia Corporation, based in Japan, has entered into a partnership agreement with Oman's Bahwan Engineering Company LLC (BEC), as announced on July 14, 2026. This agreement establishes a framework for cooperation on the development of green hydrogen and e-methane projects in Oman.
The partnership aims to cover all phases of project development, from bidding and engineering to procurement, manufacturing, and commercialization. By leveraging Kanadevia's core electrolyzer technology, essential for its hydrogen production systems, alongside BEC's extensive local expertise in construction and engineering, the companies intend to deliver enhanced solutions to Oman's expanding low-carbon fuel market.
Kanadevia is actively expanding its hydrogen business. The company is currently constructing a mass-production facility for electrolyzers in Tsuru, Japan, targeting cost reduction and increased supply capacity. In Oman, Kanadevia is also involved in methanation projects and has a contract with Oman LNG LLC for feasibility studies related to one of the world's largest commercial methanation plants, which will convert captured CO2 into e-methane using green hydrogen.
This collaboration aligns with policy objectives and societal expectations in both Japan and Oman for decarbonization and sustainable energy. Kanadevia states that the expansion of its green hydrogen-related businesses contributes to creating a sustainable energy society.
