Kansas City Hickory Provisions to Open New Production Facility in Harrisonville
Kansas City Hickory Provisions (KCHP) will establish a new USDA-inspected and SQF-certified production and distribution facility in Harrisonville, Missouri. The 72,000-square-foot expansion is slated to open in early 2027.

Kansas City Hickory Provisions (KCHP) announced plans to open a new USDA-inspected and SQF-certified production and distribution facility in Harrisonville, Missouri. The facility will occupy the former Walmart building on North Commercial Street and is expected to commence operations in early 2027.
The investment will convert the vacant property into a production hub for premium Kansas City-style barbecue products. This 72,000-square-foot expansion significantly increases KCHP's production capabilities, which are built on nearly 70 years of smoking meats and 17 years of perfecting USDA production processes. The company focuses on producing branded and private-label barbecue items for nationwide retail and foodservice clients.
"This new facility expands our position as a premier private-label producer of authentic Kansas City-style smoked meats and proteins for brands and foodservice operators nationwide, while allowing us to expand our Jack Stack products in retail and club stores," stated Keaton Dorman, President of KCHP Family Ownership Group.
The project is expected to create up to 20 local jobs. Hiring is anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with full operations targeting the first quarter of 2027.
