Kansas City's West Bottoms to Host Halloween Event "Boo in the Bottoms"

Kansas City's Historic West Bottoms district is set to launch its Halloween season with the "Boo in the Bottoms" event, scheduled for October 2-4. The festival combines daytime shopping, music, and family-friendly entertainment with the nighttime opening of the well-known haunted attractions, Beast and Edge of Hell.

During the day, the West Bottoms' 13 blocks will offer a variety of antique and vintage shopping, decor, fashion, and unique finds. Participating stores will provide treats for costumed visitors, and the district will feature live music and "Thriller" dance instruction sessions on Saturday.

As evening approaches, the area transforms into a Halloween destination. "Boo in the Bottoms is when we kick off Halloween Kansas City-style," said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, a spokesperson for the district. "Come down during the day for vintage treasures and entertainment, then brace yourself for a darker turn at night with Beast and Edge of Hell."

Over 30 shops and restaurants are participating in the event. Beast and Edge of Hell will offer haunted experiences on 13 nights throughout October.
