KAPSARC is a national partner at the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, contributing expertise on energy supply, technology, and sustainability. The event brings together global leaders and experts.

The King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) is participating as a national partner in the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, taking place from October 11-15, 2026. The event convenes global leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss key issues shaping the future of energy. This marks the first time the congress is hosted in Saudi Arabia.
KAPSARC's involvement spans across the congress's executive, technical, synergy, and special programs. Over 20 KAPSARC leaders and researchers will contribute discussions on topics including energy supply and demand, energy access, natural gas, ESG, carbon circular economy, artificial intelligence, and pathways to lower-emission industries. KAPSARC President Fahad Alajlan and Dean of KAPSARC School of Public Policy, Dr. Ghadah Alarifi, are among the speakers.
The congress agenda includes KAPSARC-led sessions such as "Generative AI for Evidenced-Based Oil Markets," exploring AI's role in oil market analysis, and a "World Café" discussion on carbon removal technologies. The synergy program will feature discussions on accelerating the carbon circular economy and AI partnerships for energy innovation.
KAPSARC will also host its own pavilion, showcasing its research and expertise across five thematic areas: Oil, Transportation, Clean Energy, AI, and Collaboration. This platform aims to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration on energy security, investments, technology, and sustainability.
