The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute has appointed Stefan C. Grant, MBBCh, M.D., JD, MBA, FACP, as a thoracic medical oncologist and associate director for its Cancer Network.
Dr. Grant brings three decades of experience in clinical trial leadership and expertise in lung cancer to his new role. He will be responsible for the strategic development of Karmanos's cancer network and advancing patient care.
His extensive academic background and previous leadership positions in cancer research are expected to support the institute's objectives in improving cancer treatments and expanding its research initiatives.
Prior to joining Karmanos, Dr. Grant held significant roles at cancer centers, focusing on the development of novel therapies and the advancement of clinical studies.
