Stephanie Cherney, a Lead Area Sales Representative for KB Home in Las Vegas, has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the homebuilder of years of sexual harassment, retaliation, and unequal pay. The suit was lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
According to the lawsuit, Cherney claims the alleged harassment began shortly after she started working for KB Home in 2018 and continued until 2023. The allegations target several individuals in management positions within the company.
The complaint details alleged incidents including unwanted sexual comments, touching, and propositions. Cherney asserts that her attempts to report these issues led to retaliatory actions, such as demotion and negative performance reviews, impacting her career progression and compensation.
The lawsuit seeks damages for emotional distress and financial losses. KB Home has not yet issued a public statement regarding the allegations. The company is one of the largest homebuilders in the United States, operating across multiple states.
