KBR Acquires Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies to Bolster Government Services
KBR has acquired Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT), expanding its capabilities and workforce in the U.S. government services sector.
KBR, an engineering, construction, and technology company, has acquired Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT). The acquisition aims to strengthen KBR's position within the U.S. government services market.
This strategic move is part of KBR's broader strategy to enhance its offerings in high-end technology and support services for government clients. SGT's capabilities are being integrated into KBR's existing government services division, following previous acquisitions of Honeywell Technical Services and Wyle.
The combined entity, operating under the KBRwyle brand, will employ over 14,000 individuals, predominantly engineers, scientists, program analysts, and IT professionals. A significant portion of these employees possess security clearances, essential for government contracting.
KBR anticipates that the integration of SGT will provide expanded expertise in areas such as physical sciences, engineering, mission operations, and information technology. The acquisition supports KBR's growth trajectory and focus on advanced technical services for government agencies.
