KBR Awarded Contract for Ammonia Plant Licensing and Design
KBR, Inc. has received a contract from OJSC Togliattiazot (ToAZ) to provide licensing and design services for the revamp of seven ammonia plants in Russia. The agreement aims to increase production capacity and energy efficiency.

HOUSTON โ May 26, 2015 โ KBR, Inc. announced today it has been awarded a contract by OJSC Togliattiazot (ToAZ) for licensing, basic engineering design, and front-end engineering and design (FEED) services to revamp ToAZ's seven ammonia plants located in Togliatti, Russia.
Under the terms of the agreement, KBR will supply ToAZ with its proprietary ammonia technology. The project's objective is to significantly increase overall ammonia production capacity while simultaneously enhancing energy efficiency and plant reliability.
KBR's technology is expected to reduce ToAZ's production costs. The company highlighted the contract as a reflection of KBR's expertise in the ammonia industry, noting its involvement in over 230 ammonia plants worldwide through licensing, design, engineering, and/or construction.
ToAZ described the revamp initiative as an ambitious plan and expressed satisfaction with the contract to help achieve strategic objectives. The contract value was not disclosed, nor was the expected revenue.
