KBR, Inc. announced it has been awarded a contract by Gulf LNG Liquefaction Company, LLC (GLLC), an affiliate of Gulf LNG Energy, LLC (GLE). The agreement covers FEED engineering and pre-filing report services to support the addition of 10 million metric tons per year of liquefaction and export capabilities to GLE's existing liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Jackson County, Mississippi.

Under the terms of the contract, KBR will perform FEED engineering for two LNG trains, each with a capacity of five million metric tons per year, and associated facilities. The design will be based on KBR's proven reference design utilizing APCI C3MR Technology. KBR will also provide the technical documentation required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) during the pre-filing process.

The contract value was not disclosed. The expected revenue will be included in KBR's second quarter 2014 backlog of unfilled orders for its Gas Monetization segment.
