KBR Awarded Over $100 Million Contract by UK Ministry of Defence
KBR will continue to support the UK Ministry of Defence with a contract exceeding $100 million for heavy, front-line equipment movement services for the British Army.
HOUSTON, April 30, 2024 – KBR, Inc. has secured a contract worth over $100 million, with options, from the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide heavy equipment transportation services for the British Army.
Under the agreement, KBR will supply a fleet of Heavy Equipment Transporters (HET), along with maintenance personnel and operators, to facilitate the movement of strategic loads, including the British Army's Challenger 2 tanks. This three-year Interim Capability Solution (ICS) builds on KBR's two decades of experience in providing HET support.
The contract includes the provision, operation, and maintenance of the vehicles. It also encompasses training and the utilization of Sponsored Army Reservists to support service delivery.
KBR has a long-standing relationship with the UK Ministry of Defence, spanning over 20 years in heavy transport capabilities. This new contract extends that partnership, ensuring continued operational support for front-line troops.
