KBR Contracted for $200 Million to Improve US Transportation Systems

KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business has been awarded a recompete contract with a ceiling value of $200 million to advance aviation safety and modernize U.S. transportation networks. The company will leverage its artificial intelligence (AI) driven solutions to enhance information technology (IT) and systems engineering capabilities in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe National Transportation Systems Center.
The five-year contract, known as Transportation, Technology & Engineering Mission Solutions (TTEMS), is a single-award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Under this agreement, KBR will provide a range of services including engineering support, AI and machine learning, modern web frameworks, and modeling, simulation, and data analytics.
This award signifies a continued partnership between KBR and the Volpe Center. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of safer and smarter transportation systems across the United States, building upon previous work and expertise.
The contract is expected to bolster KBR's role in providing critical technology services to government agencies, particularly within the vital transportation sector. The project's focus on modernization and safety is anticipated to yield significant advancements in the nation's infrastructure.
