KBR Expands Collaboration With AWS to Accelerate Data-Driven Space Missions
KBR is expanding its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help government agencies process large volumes of data generated by satellites and sensors.

KBR's Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) business is broadening its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The initiative aims to assist government agencies in processing the vast amounts of data generated by satellites and sensors, converting it into real-time decision-making capabilities.
The company will leverage AWS's cloud infrastructure, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to modernize space and ground systems. The collaboration specifically focuses on expediting the processing and analysis of data derived from hyperspectral satellites, optical sensors, and distributed sensor networks.
This expanded effort is intended to support critical missions, including satellite monitoring, in-orbit threat detection, and Earth observation. KBR Chief Technology Officer Stephen Chambal stated that the ability to process and act on data swiftly is fundamental for the next generation of space operations.
"Our work with AWS strengthens how we deliver secure, scalable solutions that help customers modernize critical systems and accelerate mission outcomes," Chambal said. KBR's approach, known as Speed to Mission Impact℠, is designed for the rapid delivery of solutions that accelerate mission completion.
