HOUSTON โ August 14, 2023 โ KBR announced today that its joint venture, Space & Technology Solutions, with partner Intuitive Machines, has been awarded a contract by NASA valued at $719 million. The contract is for multidisciplinary engineering services supporting NASA's Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate at Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.
The five-year contract, known as Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services (OMES) III, will directly support the Joint Polar Satellite System program, which is crucial for weather forecasting. It also extends to NASA's Exploration and In-space Services projects division, focusing on developing sustainable technologies for servicing spacecraft and in-space assembly.
