KBR Secures $117 Million Contract for F/A-18 Foreign Military Sales Support
KBR has been awarded a $117 million follow-on contract by the U.S. Navy’s aviation systems command to provide logistics and engineering support for the F/A-18 fighter program.
KBR has finalized a five-year, $117 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The agreement mandates KBR to provide comprehensive support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) related to the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft programs.
The scope of work includes integrated program management, engineering services, and lifecycle logistics for partner nations including Australia, Finland, and Switzerland. KBR will assist the PMA-265 program office in managing aircraft system sustainment, acquisition efforts, and communication security operations to maintain operational readiness.
Performance will occur at various U.S. locations and international sites. KBR executive Mark Kavanaugh noted that the award reflects the company's long-standing relationship with the U.S. Navy’s aviation arm, specifically regarding the sustainment of the F/A-18 platform.
