KBR Supports Operations on Diego Garcia Island
KBR's government services are supporting operations at the Diego Garcia base under the BOSS contract. The project's remote location requires specialized expertise.

KBR's Government Services teams in EMEA and the US have increased their activities supporting the Base Operations Support and Sustainment (BOSS) contract on Diego Garcia island. The contract with the U.S. Navy, initiated in 2017, encompasses a wide range of services.
The project, operated by KBR Diego Garcia, LLC under KBRwyle, includes facilities management, vehicle maintenance, general administration, and safety services. Special arrangements also involve operating five crew ferries and two tugboats to support the island's resupply and port operations.
Diego Garcia, located in the British Indian Ocean Territory, is one of the world's most geographically isolated bases. Reaching the island requires a five-hour flight on a U.S. Navy plane from Singapore. KBR has previously performed similar operations and maintenance services for U.S. military bases in countries including Bahrain, Djibouti, and the United Arab Emirates.
According to KBR, few companies possess the expertise to deliver these services in such remote locations. The Diego Garcia project exemplifies the company's capability to operate under challenging conditions.
