KBR has been selected to provide technology licensing and front-end engineering design (FEED) services for Asia's first commercial-scale ethanol-to-jet sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant. Keppel and Aster have chosen KBR's PureSAF technology for the project.
The agreement includes FEED services and technology licensing for the plant, which will produce SAF from ethanol. This selection marks a significant step in expanding sustainable aviation fuel production in Asia. KBR's PureSAF technology enables the production of up to 100% synthetic and renewable jet fuel from ethanol-based feedstocks.
This project represents the first commercial-scale ethanol-to-jet SAF plant in Asia and aims to address the growing demand for environmentally friendlier aviation fuels.
