Keenova Presents Exploratory Analysis of Terlipressin
Keenova Therapeutics presented a new exploratory analysis of terlipressin (TERLIVAZ®) for hepatorenal syndrome and acute kidney injury at the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting.

Dublin-based Keenova Therapeutics plc announced on October 12, 2026, the presentation of a new analysis concerning hepatorenal syndrome-acute kidney injury (HRS-AKI) and its treatment TERLIVAZ® (terlipressin) at the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting.
The analysis focuses on liver transplant-ineligible patients with HRS-AKI. TERLIVAZ is the first and only FDA-approved therapy indicated to improve kidney function in adults with HRS-AKI.
"We are pleased to share these findings with the medical community because they contribute to our understanding of this challenging and rapidly progressive condition," stated Nancy Reau, MD, Associate Director of Solid Organ Transplantation and Section Chief of Hepatology at Rush University Medical Center. "The exploratory analysis expands the clinical evidence on the use of terlipressin in liver transplant-ineligible patients and can help providers support those affected by HRS-AKI."
Hepatorenal syndrome-acute kidney injury is a life-threatening condition in adults with advanced liver disease, associated with high morbidity and mortality. A U.S. study indicated that the estimated annual number of inpatients diagnosed with HRS increased from 42,930 to 63,381 between 2018 and 2023.
