KeepTool 17.0.0 Enhances Oracle Database Tools
KeepTool has released version 17.0.0, adding support for Oracle 23ai's SQL Domains and Data Mining Models, and improving SQL rewrite and AI integration.

KeepTool has released version 17.0.0 of its database tooling suite, introducing significant enhancements for Oracle database users.
The update fully supports SQL domains, a feature introduced in Oracle Database 23ai. Users can now manage and view domains, their associated columns, constraints, and usage within table definitions directly through KeepTool. The tool also supports DML statement generation for domains via its Reverse DB function and comparison through DB Compare.
Further additions include a new page for Oracle 23ai Data Mining Models and basic support for Oracle 23ai schema annotations. These features allow for visualization and management of model metadata and facilitate the maintenance of annotations for tables, views, and columns.
The release also brings substantial improvements to SQL rewrite capabilities. SQL statements can now be converted to ANSI SQL standards, and proprietary Oracle syntax can be translated to be compatible with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server. A new "Replace Identifiers using Dictionary" tool aids in global replacement of identifiers using a CSV file, streamlining internationalization efforts.
KeepTool has integrated AI capabilities with support for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and Llama. The new AI Assistant feature assists in creating and modifying SQL and PL/SQL code. Users can configure their preferred AI engine and utilize pre-defined command templates to expedite the development process.
