KeepTool Releases Update for Oracle Database Tools
KeepTool's new version 17.0.0 introduces support for Oracle 23ai's SQL Domains and enhances AI integration.

KeepTool has released version 17.0.0 of its Oracle database tools, bringing significant updates including support for features found in the new Oracle 23ai.
The latest version fully supports Oracle 23ai's SQL Domains. This includes a new interface page for managing domains, displaying them based on types such as single- and multi-column, flexible, and enumeration domains. The tool also allows domain management through context menus and updates table information. Additionally, the Reverse DB function generates SQL statements for domain management, and DB Compare facilitates domain comparison across schemas.
The update also adds a new "Oracle 23ai Data Mining Models" page for visualizing and managing data mining model metadata. Furthermore, KeepTool 17.0.0 introduces basic support for Oracle 23ai Schema Annotations, enabling the maintenance of annotations for tables, views, and columns directly within the tool.
The SQL Rewrite feature has been enhanced with a new submenu that consolidates and expands SQL conversion tools, including new utilities for rewriting SQL code to be compatible with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server. A new "Replace Identifiers using Dictionary" tool automates global replacements based on a user-defined CSV file, simplifying tasks like name translation.
A key new feature in version 17.0.0 is an AI assistant that integrates with popular AI engines such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and Llama. Users can generate and edit SQL and PL/SQL code with the help of artificial intelligence. The assistant operates on a "Bring Your Own API Key" basis and offers predefined command templates with customization options. Beyond these updates, Data Grid features have been improved with enhancements to row duplication and data searching capabilities.
