KeepTool has released a series of updates for its Oracle database tools, introducing enhancements to management and new functionalities. The latest version, 11.2.4, features changes in Oracle Home directory selection and a new SQL*Plus-inspired 'Set Echo' switch.

KeepTool has released a series of updates for its Oracle database tools, enhancing software functionality and user experience. Recent versions, including 11.2.4, incorporate new features designed to streamline database management and SQL query execution.
A key change in version 11.2.4 is the method for selecting the Oracle Home directory. Instead of relying on the OCI DLL path, the software now uses the names of Oracle Home directories. Additionally, a new 'Set Echo' switch has been added to the SQL settings, inspired by SQL*Plus. When enabled, this switch logs executed SQL text in the dbms_output window, aiding in debugging processes.
Previous updates have addressed areas such as network license management and user interface improvements. For instance, version 11.2.2 enabled ELM (CrypKey Enterprise License Manager) for network license transfers. Version 11.2.1 introduced the KeepTool Launcher application, providing a centralized hub for launching all KeepTool programs.
Earlier releases also brought significant developments. Version 11.2.0 transitioned network licensing to TCP/IP and improved the display of diagram views and SQL results. This version also implemented Single Sign-On for applications launched via the Hora Tools menu. KeepTool continues to develop its suite of tools for Oracle professionals.
