Kelvion Gas Coolers Support Energy Efficiency in Refrigeration Systems

Thermal solutions provider Kelvion is supplying gas coolers designed to improve the energy efficiency and environmental performance of refrigeration systems.

Cool Green Solutions, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of natural refrigeration systems, is utilizing a custom-made gas cooler from Kelvion as part of its installations.

The gas cooler is integrated into a compact, closed-circuit system for a potato storage facility. This system employs carbon dioxide (R744) as a natural refrigerant, chosen for its environmental benefits. The process involves compressing CO2 at high temperatures and then reducing its temperature through heat exchange with ambient air within the cooler.

Cool Green Solutions selected Kelvion's solution due to its reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with local energy investment allowance (EIA) regulations. The 'plug and play' design, where components are pre-assembled on the gas cooler's frame, allows for rapid deployment and commissioning by the end customer.

The installation is reportedly operating effectively, leading to a repeat order for a similar specification.
