Kelvion supplies heat exchangers for hydrogen refueling
Kelvion is supplying K°Bond heat exchangers to H2 MOBILITY's hydrogen refueling stations, enhancing cooling and safety.

Kelvion has delivered its K°Bond heat exchangers, utilizing Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger (PCHE) technology, to H2 MOBILITY Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Europe's largest operator of hydrogen refueling stations.
The solution addresses thermal management challenges in hydrogen refueling. The process requires pre-cooling hydrogen due to the reverse Joule-Thomson effect, which causes it to heat up under high pressure for safety. Traditional cooling methods involved large, space-consuming underground aluminum blocks.
Kelvion's K°Bond HX007 models are compact and designed for direct integration into dispenser units. They cool hydrogen to temperatures between -33°C and -40°C before it enters a vehicle's tank. H2 MOBILITY has successfully implemented these units at multiple sites across Germany, allowing for a more efficient station layout.
