Heat exchange solutions provider Kelvion has been selected to deliver more than $40 million worth of cooling equipment for the first phase of a major AI data centre development in the United States. The scope covers over 200 MW and includes Kelvion's site-erected GigaBay Air Fin Coolers and Centralised Coolant Distribution Units (CCDUs).

The project required a solution capable of managing the substantial heat loads from high-density AI applications while also mitigating the heat island effect in a compact footprint. The customer specified an accelerated six-month delivery timeframe and a reduction in on-site complexity.

Kelvion's GigaBay coolers feature an adiabatic fogging system to enhance cooling performance and are designed for low maintenance and long-term reliability. The order also includes six CCDU units, which enable centralized control of the liquid cooling infrastructure, improving system efficiency and monitoring.

Manufacturing for the order will be carried out at Kelvion's facility in Catoosa, USA. The company stated that its modular and semi-customised approach minimizes risks and costs compared to conventional cooling methods. This order underscores Kelvion's role in supplying thermal management solutions for the growing data centre sector.
