Kemira has finalized the acquisition of SIDRA Wasserchemie after receiving approval from the German Federal Cartel Office. The deal enhances Kemira's water treatment solutions in Western and Central Europe.

Kemira Oyj announced on Wednesday the completion of its acquisition of SIDRA Wasserchemie GmbH. The transaction received the necessary approval from the German Federal Cartel Office.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Kemira's Water Solutions business segment in Western and Central Europe. SIDRA Wasserchemie manufactures coagulants used in water treatment. The company operates two production facilities in Germany and serves municipal and industrial customers across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
In 2025, SIDRA Wasserchemie reported approximately EUR 40 million in revenue and an EBITDA of around EUR 12 million. Kemira initially announced its intention to acquire the company on February 11, 2026.
