Kentucky American Water Accepting Grant Applications for Firefighting Support

Kentucky American Water is now accepting applications for its 15th annual Firefighting Support Grant Program, aimed at assisting local fire departments within its 16-county service area. The company has provided a total of $119,500 in grants through this program since 2011 to support both professional and volunteer fire departments.
The initiative seeks to bolster the capabilities of fire departments by supplying critical resources and training. Rob Burton, president of Kentucky American Water, highlighted the company's commitment to community safety and support for firefighters. The application deadline is October 23, 2026.
Eligible to apply are firefighting organizations serving the company's service region, which encompasses Bell, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Hickman, Jackson, Jessamine, Nicholas, Owen, Rockcastle, Scott, and Woodford counties.
