Luxury conglomerate Kering and beauty powerhouse L'Oréal have officially finalized their strategic partnership in the beauty sector. The agreement, initially announced in October 2025 and now approved by competition authorities, confirms L'Oréal's acquisition of Kering Beauté, which includes the luxury fragrance house House of Creed.

The transaction is valued at €4 billion, paid in cash. L'Oréal will also pay royalties to Kering for the use of beauty and fragrance licenses for Kering's portfolio of iconic houses. This alliance also encompasses the licensing for beauty and fragrance rights for selected Kering luxury brands.

As part of their broader collaboration, the companies are also exploring development opportunities in the fields of wellness and longevity through a joint venture. Kering's CEO Luca de Meo stated that the alliance with L'Oréal marks a new phase for the development of fragrances and cosmetics for Kering's houses, leveraging L'Oréal's expertise in the beauty industry.

L'Oréal Group CEO Nicolas Hieronimus expressed his satisfaction with welcoming these brands into the L'Oréal family. He highlighted that the partnership strengthens L'Oréal's position as a global leader in luxury beauty and aims to unlock the immense growth potential of these iconic brands in the coming decades.
