Kering Expands Sustainable Partnerships in China

Luxury group Kering has furthered its commitment to sustainability in China by signing a new strategic commercial partnership with China Resources Mixc Lifestyle. The agreement targets the use of 100% zero-carbon electricity for Kering brand stores within China Resources Mixc Lifestyle's luxury shopping centers by the year 2030.

This initiative aligns with Kering's broader ambition to meet China's "dual carbon" strategy and green building standards. The company seeks to advance common ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals in collaboration with national entities, while engaging consumers in the transition towards sustainable living.

The partnership with China Resources Mixc Lifestyle follows Kering's prior regional agreement with Swire Properties, established in July, which focused on enhancing ESG performance across Kering stores in Swire Properties' retail malls in Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.

Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering's Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer, stated that the collaboration with China Resources Mixc Lifestyle translates sustainability commitments into measurable progress, introducing tangible initiatives such as energy efficiency and carbon management to set new benchmarks for sustainable luxury retail in China.
