Kering Foundation Launches Research Program on Intersections of Violence Against Women and Children
The Kering Foundation, in partnership with McGill University and the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI), has launched a research program to investigate the links between violence against women and violence against children.

The Kering Foundation has initiated a new research program aimed at understanding and addressing the complex intersections between violence against women and violence against children. This multi-year initiative is being conducted in collaboration with McGill University and the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI).
McGill University will focus on training doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, providing them with advanced research experience in projects related to the prevention of domestic violence and child maltreatment. The program at McGill will also involve international research initiatives focused on children's rights in out-of-home care settings.
SVRI will support early-career researchers in low- and middle-income countries through fellowships and capacity-building activities. The organization will also foster partnerships among key stakeholders to promote policy and practice change in combating gender-based violence and child abuse.
The Kering Foundation stated that the program intends to bridge the gap between research and programming, translating findings into meaningful action. Joint events, webinars, and workshops will be organized to disseminate research results and influence policy development.
