Kering Launches Academy for Luxury Craftsmanship and Talent

Luxury conglomerate Kering has announced the launch of the Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, a new initiative aimed at cultivating craftsmanship and talent for the future of the luxury industry. The academy seeks to bridge traditional Italian savoir-faire with contemporary skills.

The center, located at the Valore Italia Campus in MIND – Milano Innovation District, will begin its first courses in September 2026. Its curriculum will integrate foundational luxury crafts—ready-to-wear, menswear tailoring, leather goods, and jewelry—with emerging capabilities in technology, artificial intelligence, and new materials.

Kering CEO Luca de Meo stated that the initiative represents a long-term commitment to preserving and renewing the heritage of Italian craftsmanship. "Our ambition is to empower students to thrive in a dynamic industry that will shape the Houses of tomorrow," he said. The launch coincided with Italy's "Made in Italy Day."

The Accademia will consolidate Kering's existing training programs across its brands and collaborate with other leading Italian schools and institutions. It will operate as a distributed ecosystem across multiple sites in Italy. The initial training capacity will be 1,000 individuals annually, with plans to expand to at least 2,000.
