Kering Partners with 0-93. Lab to Support Emerging Creatives in Seine-Saint-Denis

Kering has entered into a partnership with 0-93. Lab, a non-profit cultural initiative, to bridge the gap between young creatives in the Greater Paris area and the luxury industry. The initiative aims to support the emergence of the next generation of talent in fashion and visual arts.

Founded in 2019 by designer Bastien J. Laurent, 0-93. Lab works to make fashion design and visual arts practices more accessible. With Kering's support, 0-93. Lab will open a new 325m² space in Aulnay-sous-Bois. This facility will be equipped for creative practices such as sewing, dyeing, screen printing, embroidery, photography, and filmmaking.

The new venue is intended to introduce local youth to careers in fashion, prepare them for art and design schools, and assist them with their creative projects. The partnership has already included a six-month mentoring program where Kering executives shared their experiences with young creatives. In July 2024, participants used Balenciaga fabrics for costumes in a ballet performance at the Opéra de Paris.

In 2025, the collaboration will advance with a workshop program connecting Balenciaga's creative teams directly with talents from 0-93. Lab. Bastien J. Laurent, co-founder of 0-93. Lab, highlighted the importance of partners like Kering in nurturing local talent. Kering's Chief People Officer, Béatrice Lazat, stated that the partnership reflects the group's commitment to knowledge transmission and supporting new creative generations.
