Kering Publishes Eighth Edition of Sustainability Standards

Luxury conglomerate Kering has published its eighth iteration of Standards for Raw Materials and Manufacturing Processes. First introduced in 2018, these standards aim to set benchmarks for sustainable production and practices.

The latest edition reflects progress made and charts a course as the group moves beyond its 2025 targets into a new phase of its sustainability strategy. This trajectory was recently affirmed by CEO Luca de Meo, who highlighted Kering's ambition to pioneer industry-wide sustainability standards.

With a stronger operational focus and expanded scope, the new Standards are more action-oriented. They are now applied more consistently across all activities, including Kering Eyewear, ensuring coherence in responsible practices throughout the value chain.

The Standards further strengthen the link between ambition and execution by deepening alignment with strategic targets, such as incorporating 20% regenerative materials in ready-to-wear by 2035. They translate sourcing and manufacturing decisions into measurable reductions in environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions and water usage.
