Kesko acquires Saint-Gobain's Dahl technical trade units in Scandinavia
Finnish retail conglomerate Kesko has purchased the Dahl technical trade divisions from Saint-Gobain to expand its footprint in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
Kesko has finalized the acquisition of Saint-Gobain’s technical wholesale operations in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The deal integrates the Dahl brand into Kesko’s existing technical trade business across the Nordic region.
CEO Jorma Rauhala stated that the acquisition is intended to boost the company’s market share in the Nordic technical trade sector. The move comes as Kesko seeks to capitalize on structural changes in the industry, including rising demand for technical infrastructure, building renovation, and energy transition requirements.
This expansion follows a trend of consolidation within the European technical trade market. By acquiring these established regional entities, Kesko aims to increase its scale in the construction supply chain, leveraging the ongoing shift toward complex, regulated building solutions.
