Kesko Reports 5.4% Sales Increase in August
Finnish retail group Kesko reported a 5.4% increase in total sales for August, reaching €1,165.0 million. Growth was driven by strong performance in building and technical trade, as well as car trade.

HELSINKI – Kesko Oyj announced that its total sales for August increased by 5.4% year-over-year, amounting to €1,165.0 million. Comparable sales growth stood at 4.8% for the period.
The company observed sales growth across all three of its business divisions. The building and technical trade division saw a comparable sales increase of 8.3%, with technical trade specifically experiencing a 12.9% rise. This division's total sales reached €461.2 million.
Sales in the grocery trade division grew by 2.3% to €580.0 million. Sales to K Group grocery stores increased by 3.8%, though sales in K-Citymarket's home and speciality goods trade declined. Kespro's sales decreased by 1.2%.
The car trade division reported a 5.3% increase in sales, attributed to growth in both new and used car transactions. Sports trade sales remained relatively flat, with a 0.1% increase. Overall, Kesko's consolidated sales for August reached €1,165.0 million.
