Kesko reports 7.9% sales increase in June
Kesko's total sales rose by 7.9% in June, reaching €1,174.0 million. Growth was recorded across all three of the company's business divisions.
Kesko Oyj reported a 7.9% increase in total sales for June, amounting to €1,174.0 million. The comparable sales growth stood at 7.5%. The company saw growth across all three of its main business segments: grocery trade, building and technical trade, and car trade.
The grocery trade division reported sales of €557.0 million, a 4.3% increase compared to June of the previous year. Kespro's wholesale sales grew by 2.7%. Sales in the building and technical trade division increased by 13.7% to €502.4 million, with comparable sales growth at 12.7%. Technical trade, in particular, showed strong growth of 16.2%.
Car trade sales increased by 3.1% to €117.1 million. While sales of new cars declined, the sale of used cars and related services saw an increase. Sales in the sports trade segment also rose by 2.9%.
The June sales figures indicate the retail group's ability to expand its revenue across various segments, from groceries to construction and automotive sectors. Sales from recently acquired Danish building material stores were included in the June figures.
