Kesko's June Sales Down 7.5 Percent
Kesko reported a 7.5% decrease in June sales compared to the previous year. Comparable sales fell by 11.3% across all business divisions.

Finnish retailer Kesko Oyj announced that its sales in June decreased by 7.5% compared to the same period last year. On a comparable basis, excluding the impact of acquisitions and divestments, sales declined by 11.3%.
Jorma Rauhala, President and CEO of Kesko, stated that sales decreased across all divisions. He cited a reduction in the number of delivery days compared to the prior year as a factor affecting sales performance. However, sales in building and home improvement trade showed an increase within the building and technical trade division, attributed to the acquisition of Davidsen.
The grocery trade division's sales in June amounted to €536.1 million, a drop of 7.8%. Sales to K Group grocery stores decreased by 6.5%. Sales of non-food items at K-Citymarket declined, as did wholesale sales from Kespro, which fell by 9.6%.
Sales in the building and technical trade division were €396.1 million, down 4.0% year-on-year. On a comparable basis, sales decreased by 13.9%. Within this division, building and home improvement trade sales rose by 7.6%, but technical trade sales saw a comparable decrease of 14.6%. Sales in Sweden and Norway also declined due to factors including changes in the store network.
Car trade sales decreased by 19.6% in June to €88.4 million. Sports trade sales fell by 19.0%. The group's total sales for June reached €1,019.0 million.
