Kesla Initiates Divestment Process for Tractor Equipment Product Group
Kesla Oyj has initiated a divestment process for its tractor equipment product group, focusing on civil applications. The company stated the process will not impact ongoing operations, deliveries, or after-sales services for customers.

Forestry equipment manufacturer Kesla Oyj has launched a process to sell its tractor equipment product group, a strategic decision made after a comprehensive review. The company aims to find a new owner capable of significant investment and development for this segment.
The divestment covers civil applications mounted on tractors, including forest trailers, loader cranes, and log splitters. Kesla will retain rights related to defense applications and other non-tractor mounted uses. The company emphasized that this process will not affect current customer cooperation, product deliveries, availability, sales, or after-sales service.
The decision was announced on May 11, 2026, and is part of a broader strategic and structural assessment initiated in December 2025. This move signals Kesla's intention to increasingly focus on developing its defense product group.
Pasi Nieminen, CEO of Kesla Oyj, assured that factory deliveries, commercial support, and after-sales service will continue normally throughout the divestment process. Kesla is seeking a buyer with the willingness, expertise, and financial resources to ensure the continuity and future development of the product offering. The process is expected to be finalized within 2026.
