Kevin Mandia's New Cybersecurity Startup Armadin Raises $255.5M
Cybersecurity veteran Kevin Mandia has raised $255.5 million for his new venture, Armadin. The company utilizes autonomous 'agent swarms' for enterprise network security testing.

Kevin Mandia, known for founding the cybersecurity firm Mandiant, has secured $255.5 million in a Series B funding round for his latest startup, Armadin. The company was valued at over $2.5 billion in the round.
The funding was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with participation from investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Redpoint, 8VC, and Google Ventures. This latest capital infusion follows a $190 million Series A round raised just six months prior, bringing Armadin's total funding to over $445 million.
Armadin is developing a novel, always-on security approach for the AI era. Instead of relying on traditional penetration testing, the company employs autonomous 'agent swarms.' These agents chain together vulnerabilities to simulate attacks, aiming to identify and patch security gaps before malicious actors can exploit them.
The new funding will enable Armadin to scale its operations and further develop its AI-driven security solutions, with the goal of helping organizations proactively defend against sophisticated threats.
