KfW Board Confirms Executive Responsibilities
KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) has confirmed the areas of responsibility for its board members. The board manages the bank's daily operations and strategic direction.
The executive board of KfW Bankengruppe has finalized its internal division of responsibilities, covering the bank's extensive national and international operations. The board is responsible for KfW's strategic guidance and day-to-day management.
Stefan Wintels serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board, overseeing group-wide management. Melanie Kehr heads domestic promotional business, IT, and operations, as well as the export and project finance activities of KfW IPEX-Bank. Bernd Loewen manages accounting, organization, and human resources.
Furthermore, Dr. Stefan Peiß is responsible for risk management and controlling, while Brigitte Réthier oversees the International Financial Cooperation division. Board members are appointed by the Supervisory Board and are accountable for executing the bank's statutory duties and implementing board resolutions.
