KfW Bankengruppe has been awarded a bronze medal for its "Good Food" concept at the Marketing.Award der Gemeinschaftsgastronomie, held in Hanau. The award recognizes the initiative in the "Concept" category for community gastronomy.
The "Good Food – lecker und ausgewogen" concept was officially launched in September 2018. It aims to provide balanced and wholesome nutrition to KfW employees as part of its corporate culture. The award-winning concept was developed collaboratively with staff, kitchen management, and a nutritionist.
The restaurant's menu emphasizes seasonal ingredients and fresh, gentle preparation methods. Alongside vegetarian options, the offerings include a variety of meat and fish dishes. The restaurant also provides reduced-sugar desserts and homemade salad dressings. KfW reports that the proportion of vegetarian dishes has increased from 18.5% to 28% since the concept's implementation.
The Marketing.Award der Gemeinschaftsgastronomie aims to honor outstanding actions and concepts within communal catering. It is an initiative by the trade journal gv-praxis, recognizing exemplary ideas for the industry.
