Kia America Reports Record September and Third-Quarter Sales
Kia America announced its highest-ever sales figures for both the month of September and the third quarter, marking significant year-over-year growth.
Kia America has achieved record-breaking sales for both September and the third quarter of the year. The company reported total sales of 77,009 units in September and 236,659 units for the third quarter, representing year-over-year increases of 18% and 8%, respectively. These figures mark the best September and third quarter in the company's history.
Retail sales saw substantial growth, reaching 70,429 units in September and 221,664 units in the third quarter. This translates to a 19% increase for September and a 9% increase for the third quarter compared to the previous year.
The company also highlighted a significant surge in sales for its hybrid and electrified vehicles. September saw a 152% year-over-year increase in electrified model sales, while the third quarter experienced a 60% rise. This trend underscores growing consumer demand for alternative powertrains.
Eight key Kia models contributed to these record results, each achieving double-digit growth. These models include the Seltos, Niro, K4, Telluride, Sorento, Carnival, K5, and Sportage. The strong performance across a diverse range of vehicles indicates broad market appeal for Kia's product lineup.
