Kia EV3 Wins Best EV Award from Western Automotive Journalists
The 2027 Kia EV3 GT-Line AWD has been recognized as the top electric vehicle at the annual 'Best of the Bay' awards hosted by Western Automotive Journalists.
The 2027 Kia EV3 GT-Line AWD received the 'Best EV' honor from the Western Automotive Journalists (WAJ) association following two days of testing in Sonoma County, California. The award is part of the organization's annual 'Best of the Bay' program, where professional automotive journalists evaluate vehicles across several categories.
WAJ president Charlie Vogelheim noted that the testing panel reacted positively to the vehicle's interior layout and aesthetic design. Jurors emphasized the compact SUV's practical utility and handling performance compared to larger competitors.
The EV3 GT-Line AWD carries a starting MSRP of $43,490. It features an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles and supports DC fast charging, which allows the battery to reach an 80 percent charge from 10 percent in approximately 31 minutes.
