Kia PV5 Named International Van of the Year 2026

Frankfurt/Lyon – Kia's all-electric PV5 has been named the '2026 International Van of the Year' (IVOTY). The award represents a historic first for Kia and a Korean manufacturer in this commercial vehicle segment.

The announcement was made on November 19 at the IVOTY Award Gala during SOLUTRANS 2025 in Lyon, France. The selection was made by a jury of commercial vehicle journalists representing 26 European countries.

Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the International Van of the Year Award, stated that the Kia PV5 impressed the jury with its "all-round capability, efficient electric platform, and clear focus on user needs." He noted the zero-tailpipe-emission van represents "a new benchmark for how these vehicles can deliver practical innovation."

The PV5 was among seven models launched in 2025 considered for the award, including two other electric vans. This highlights the growing momentum of electrification within the light commercial vehicle industry towards a more sustainable future.
