Seoul, South Korea – Kia Motors revealed its financial performance for the second fiscal quarter, reporting a net profit of 2.33 trillion Korean won (approximately 1.7 billion USD). This figure represents a 2.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

The automotive manufacturer's total revenue rose by 12.6% to 33.04 trillion Korean won (approximately 25.3 billion USD). Despite the revenue growth, operating profit saw a slight decrease of 4.9%, totaling 2.63 trillion Korean won.

The company attributed the revenue increase to factors such as improved sales volume and optimization of its product mix. While operating profit experienced a slight decline, the overall growth in net profit suggests effective cost management or contributions from other financial activities.

For the first half of the fiscal year, Kia's total revenue reached 62.54 trillion Korean won, marking a 9% increase from the previous year. The company remains focused on its strategic initiatives to enhance global market presence and maintain profitability amidst evolving automotive industry dynamics.
