Kia Reports Record Third Quarter Global Sales
Kia Corporation announced its third-quarter sales figures, revealing that the company's global vehicle sales reached an all-time high for the period.
Kia Corporation has reported record-breaking global sales for the third quarter of 2026. The company sold a total of 846,764 vehicles worldwide between July and September, marking a 7.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This figure represents the highest third-quarter sales since the company began selling cars in 1962.
The sales performance surpassed the previous third-quarter record of 785,137 units set in 2025. In contrast, Kia's parent company, Hyundai Motor, reported an 11.9% year-over-year decrease in global sales during the same quarter, selling 915,026 vehicles.
For the month of September 2026, Kia's global sales increased by 5.1% to 281,984 units. Domestic sales saw a 6.7% decline to 45,705 units, while overseas sales grew by 7.5% to 235,457 units. Hyundai Motor's September sales fell by 16% to 307,998 units overall.
