Kia has unveiled its new Seltos compact SUV, featuring design cues from the Telluride and a starting price of $24,990 plus destination charge.
Kia has introduced the new Seltos compact SUV, aiming to provide a value-oriented option in the growing utility vehicle market. The vehicle features a starting price of $24,990 before destination charges in the United States.
The redesigned Seltos draws styling inspiration from Kia's larger Telluride SUV, with an updated exterior and an extended wheelbase. Despite the size increase and styling updates, the Seltos remains a subcompact SUV, measuring 174.4 inches (4,430 mm) in length, placing it in a smaller segment than vehicles like the Toyota RAV4 or Mazda CX-5.
Kia will offer the Seltos with three powertrain choices. A key variant is the 1.6-liter hybrid, slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2024. Details regarding the hybrid model's performance and fuel economy are pending final EPA certification.
The base and other non-hybrid versions are expected to reach dealerships sooner. The Seltos aims to combine practicality and style at an accessible price point, broadening Kia's SUV offerings.
