Kia Thailand Appoints New Executives to Drive Growth
Kia Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has appointed Jung Won Kang as President and Kitisorn Punnahitanonda as Managing Director. The appointments are aimed at strengthening the company's growth strategy in the Thai market.

Kia Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. announced new executive appointments in June 2024. Jung Won Kang, also known as Andy Kang, has taken on the role of President, and Kitisorn Punnahitanonda has been appointed as Managing Director. Their responsibilities include driving the company's growth and enhancing its position as a provider of sustainable mobility solutions in the Thai market.
The new leadership is expected to focus on expanding the sales and after-sales service network and introducing globally competitive vehicle models to Thai customers. They will work towards implementing the company's strategic objectives, including the 'Plan S-5' initiative.
Andy Kang brings 24 years of experience from Kia Corporation, with a background in both headquarters and international divisions. He previously led Kia's North America Division and held various leadership roles in Europe and Australia. Kitisorn Punnahitanonda possesses significant experience in the automotive sector, including previous roles at Nissan and Hitachi Elevator in Thailand, where he successfully improved customer satisfaction and market standing.
Kang identifies substantial opportunities in Thailand's electric vehicle market, despite a slowdown in the overall automotive sector. He emphasizes a customer-centric approach and a strategy focused on sustainable development. Punnahitanonda highlighted the importance of delivering innovative products and exceeding customer expectations to foster Kia's sustainable growth in Thailand.
